Ambassador Abdulhamid Al-Failakawi, the head of Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry's Arab World Department, headed on Sunday a meeting of the Arab Legaue permanent delegates, as a prelude to a ministerial meeting due on Monday.
The meeting, held within the framework of a special commission charged with following up and implementing the Arab Summit resolutions, was convened in preparation for the ministerial-level meeting, due on Monday, under chairmanship of Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, said Ambassador Ahmad Bin Hilli, the Arab League Deputy Secretary General, in a statement at start of the meeting.
Tomorrow's meeting is designed to follow up on resolutions of the Arab Summit, hosted by Kuwait in March 2014, Bin Hilli added, hailing His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for the great efforts he had exerted to ensure the Summit success.
He also praised Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled for his major role in forming delegations tasked with drumming up international support for Arab causes, namely the Palestinian question, Lebanon and Somalia.
Bin Hilli expressed hope that such distinguished Arab effort would continue in the future to support the League resolutions and causes of the nation.
He added that the Secretariat General had prepared, in coordination with Kuwait, the Summit current chairman, a full report about following up on resolutions, to be submitted to the ministers during their tomorrow's meeting.
The report includes recommendations on obstacles hindering implemention of some resolutions, pending submission to the upcoming Summit due in Sharm El-Shekikh at the end of this month.
