Cairo - MENA
The Organization of Arab Peoples and Parliaments urged the Arab Summit, which Egypt hosts Saturday, to put the issue of terror combat on top of its agenda.
In a statement, the organization welcomed a decision by the Arab foreign ministers during a preparatory meeting Thursday to ratify a draft resolution on forming a joint Arab military force.
Measures have to be taken to preserve Arab security in light of the recent developments in the region and rising terrorism, it said.
The organization also announced its support for “Operation Decisive Storm” staged by a coalition of Arab countries against Houthi targets in Yemen.
