Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, has condemned aggression on the cultural, civilizational and humanitarian archaeological heritage of the Arab region in any form.
''Arab Parliament puts the protection of the Arab cultural heritage among its top priorities in the light of the unfolding circumstances in the Arab region, and ferocious attacks on the important Arab ancient antiquities. The Arab parliament seeks to set up a unified Arab draft law for the protection and preserving of civilization, humanity and the natural environment,''Al Jarwan stressed .
This came in a speech delivered by Mohammad Hadi Al Huwailah, Member of the Parliament, on behalf of Al Jarwan, in the opening session of The 2nd international conference of the Faculty of Archaeology, Fayoum University, Egypt. It was organised by the Arab League under the slogan, "Archaeological Heritage in the Arab world: Challenges and Solutions."
