Arab Parliament Speaker Ahmed al Jarwan praised on Thursday the anti-Houthi military operation in Yemen led by Saudi Arabia to defend the legitimate government in Yemen.
In a statement, Jarwan reiterated that the parliament is standing by the Yemeni and Arab leadership for the sake of Yemen's security and stability.
He stressed that the military intervention in Yemen was necessary to prevent the Houthis from causing havoc in the country.
Earlier in the day, Saudi Arabia and 10 other states launched a military operation against the Houthis in Yemen.
