Cairo - MENA
President of the Arab Parliament Ahmed al-Jarwan urged the United States and the UN Security Council's five permanent states to exercise pressure on Israel to continue truce and not to resume shelling the Gaza Strip.
In a statement on Thursday, Al-Jarwan called on the UN, its bodies concerned, and the International Criminal Court to consider the massacres perpetrated by the Israeli forces against Palestinian citizens in Gaza, especially raids on the UNRWA-run schools.
It urged the international community to bear their responsibilities and start a reconstruction process in the besieged enclave.
