Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker and Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union President Marzouq Al-Ghanim left for Cairo on Wednesday to attend urgent AIPU talks on the situation in Gaza.
The talks are expected to discuss the role of the Arab parliaments amid the escalating Israeli bombardment of Gaza, which has so far killed and wounded hundreds of Palestinian civilians.
Al-Ghanim is being accompanied by fellow lawmakers Faisal Al-Shayea, Saleh Ashour and Saif Al-Azmi.
