The Organization of Arab Peoples and Parliaments congratulated Sudanese President Omar Bashir for wining the presidential vote.

The body said the election was held in a smooth way and reflected the views of the Sudanese people.

Bashir won the elections after scoring over 94 percent of the votes, according to the electoral commission.

It said the voter turnout in the presidential election reached reached 46.4 percent.
