The Arab Ministerial Quartet Committee will convene on Thursday at the Arab League general secretariat to discuss the developments of the crisis with Iran and its interference in the Arab countries' affairs.

A diplomatic source at the Arab League said the meeting, that will be held at the level of foreign ministers of the quartet member states, aims at discussing the developments of Iran's crisis with Arab countries and means of standing against its interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries.

The Arab quartet committee comprises UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the Arab League secretary-general.

The Arab quartet meeting will be the second of its kind after its first meeting was held in Abu Dhabi in late January.

The Arab quartet committee was formed upon a resolution from the Arab League Council which convened an extraordinary session in early January to discuss Iranian intervention in Arab affairs.

Arab foreign ministers have demanded Iran to abstain from the use of force or leveling threats to Arab countries, halt any provocative acts or measures and stop incitement against sovereignty of Arab countries which they considered a flagrant violation to international norms, the UN and Arab League conventions.
