Arab League Secretary General Nabil el-Arabi has said the Arab states endorsed a draft resolution setting a time frame for ending the Israeli occupation to Palestine.
Jordan, in coordination with Palestine, would present the draft to the UN Security Council within days, el-Arabi told reports following a ministerial meeting on Saturday.
Speaking at the opening of the session in Cairo, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas underlined the need for internationalizing the Palestinian cause in light of the continued Israeli intransigence.
