The fifth scientific conference of the Union of Arab Statisticians takes place in Cairo for the first time, Chairman of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics Abu Bakr el Gendy said.

Addressing the opening session of the two-day event on Tuesday, Gendy said the sustainable development goals, which will be ratified by the United Nations in March, will be an international recognition of the importance of statistics, which will be carried out in the coming 15 years.
