The 28th ordinary session of the Arab League Council's summit

The 28th ordinary session of the Arab League Council's summit concluded Wednesday in Amman.
In a speech at the closing session, King Abdullah II of Jordan said, "In this summit, we discussed all issues with utmost transparency, to come up with a number of important decisions and recommendations, which we will ensure during our presidency of the summit, to work with you to translate them on the ground," Jordanian state news agency Petra reported.
King Abdullah reiterated the importance of strengthening and institutionalizing joint Arab action "so that we can overcome challenges facing us and serve the issues of our nation." The Jordanian king thanked the Arab leaders for taking part in the summit and for their eagerness to make the summit a success in light of difficult circumstances and challenges facing the Arab nation.
Hhe also thanked the Arab League and its Secretary-General, Ahmed Aboul Gheit for their continuous efforts to activate the role of the league and its bodies.
