Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby voiced deep concern over the deteriorating conditions in Yarmouk refugee camp for Palestinian refugees in Syria.
The pan-Arab body will provide immediate aid and food staff to the camp, he added.
In a statement Thursday, Araby called for protecting the refugees and their lives.
He also voiced concern toward the possibility of using force against the Palestinian refugees.
He further called on all international bodies, humanitarian organizations and the UNRWA to swiftly intervene and offer the necessary aid to the Palestinian refugees in the camp.
