Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil el Araby received Thursday the credentials of Ambassador Tarek el Qony as Egypt's new representative to the league.

El Qony will succeed Ambassador Tarek Adel.

El Araby underlined the importance of the role played by Egypt as a president of the AL in its current session so as to support the Arab joint work.

The AL chief further said that el Qony will assume the duties of his post starting from Thursday which represents a great responsibility.
