Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby welcomed the formation of the Libyan accord government.

Araby termed the step as important on the track of the political solution and to achieve national reconciliation between all the Libyans.

In a statement Tuesday, Araby urged the Libyan parliament to be held quickly to grant confidence to this government, calling on the Libyan parties to prioritize the national interest above anything to restore security and stability in Libya.

Araby lauded the efforts of the UN, UN special envoy to Libya, the presidential council and all the Libyan political parties.
