Minister of Defense Colonel General Sedki Sobhi on Tuesday ordered preparing trucks loaded with scores of thousands of blankets and food stuff to be handed out to the poor in the most needy areas in Upper Egypt.
The move came in accordance with directives issued by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on easing up the burdens of Egyptians, especially in this cold weather in the most needy areas in Upper Egypt and other parts of the country.
Members of the Southern Military Zone started already handing out the relief assistance to the citizens who voiced their happiness and gratitude to the Egyptian army, describing it as the shield and asset for Egypt.
