An Israeli undercover unit arrested three youths during clashes that broke out in Wadi Jouz neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.
Local sources revealed that the clashes erupted when Israeli forces were deployed in large numbers throughout the neighborhood which was turned into military barracks on Friday night, PIC reported.
In their turn, local youths threw Molotov cocktails and fireworks at the soldiers.
Three Jerusalemite youths including two brothers were nabbed during the clashes after being brutally beaten, while six others were detained for few hours before being released.
Tear gas bombs were heavily fired towards the residents’ homes in an Israeli revenge attack.
Three young men suffered minor injuries after being hit with rubber bullets during the confrontations.
Early, a Jerusalemite child was nabbed in Bustan neighborhood in Silwan.
Also on Friday, a number of rubber and live bullet injuries were reported during clashes that erupted in Turmus'ayya town to the North of Ramallah, the town that witnessed the martyrdom of Palestinian minister Ziad Abu Ein a week ago.
Media sources confirmed that the clashes broke out after Israeli soldiers violently suppressed a peaceful march organized in protest against Israeli settlements and separation wall construction. Dozens of foreign activists participated in the event.
Dozens of the participants suffered breathing problems after inhaling tear gas bombs that were heavily fired by Israeli soldiers.
Three people had been wounded with live bullets, while four others suffered rubber bullet injuries.
Four protesters including an American activist were detained during the confrontations.
