Unknown assailants set fire to a motorcycle of a policeman in Baer el Abd in Arish, said security sources on Friday.
The policeman was slightly injured and his motorbike completely destroyed.
The motorcycle was parked outside the policeman's house.
The policeman, with the help of residents, managed to extinguish the fire before extending to the house.
A probe has been launched into the incident.
