Egypt's Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs Mohamed Edris opened on Saturday a workshop on combating terrorism in Somalia and the Horn of Africa.

The workshop is part of program organized by the Cairo Center for Conflict Resolution & Peacekeeping in Africa (CCCPA).

During the workshop, Edris delivered a lecture on the CCCPA's efforts to enhance training and the capacity building in the field of peace keeping and maintaining.

The senior diplomat asserted Egypt's interest in keeping the Horn of Africa safe and table.
