Authorities in Aswan are investigating the reasons behind the fall of an elevator in the site of High Dam.
Eight visitors were wounded in the accident, said officials.
Governor Mostafa Yusry has inquired after the injured including a Saudi national.
He ordered a probe to be started.
The elevator is a symbol of the Egyptian-Russian friendship. The former Soviet Union helped Egypt in establishing the dam.
