The customs evasion general directorate in Port Said foiled an attempt to smuggle a large amount of banned fireworks into Egypt.

The shipment, including fire crackers, are imported from China, a source at the Customs Authority said on Sunday.

A report was filed against the importer of the fireworks which were confiscated.
