Customs authority at Borg el Arab Airport foiled an attempt of smuggling a big quantity of cell phones which are banned to be imported but with a permit from the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA).

In statements Saturday, a customs source said that an Egyptian passenger coming from Saudi Arabia was suspected and when scanned, 49 cell phones were found with him with a total value of EGP 176,000.
