The Customs Department of the Hurghada international airport on Sunday foiled an attempt to smuggle 5 kilograms of silver works.

An Egyptian passenger coming from Switzerland was trying to smuggle the silver works, an official source at the customs department said, adding the attempt violates custom laws.

A probe was launched and the silver works were seized.
