Civil Aviation Minister Hossam Kamal made on Thursday a tour of Cairo International Airport to check on preparations for the opening the new Suez Canal project.

The tour cover the runway, aircraft hangers and cleaning up operations.

The minister chatted with airport officials, including, Egyptian Airports Company board chairman Mahmoud Esmat, their plan to absorb the biggest number of planes to arrive for the inauguration.
