Aviation minister orders forming committee to investigate EgyptAir plane crash

Civil Aviation Minister Sherif Fat'hy on Friday decided to form a committee to investigate the tragic EgyptAir plane crash. 

The committee will be headed by head of the accident inquiry commission at the Ministry of Civil Aviation Ayman el Moqadem. 

An authorized representative from France, in its capacity as the plane manufacturer, arrived here in the wee hours of Friday to take part in the investigations. 

Earlier in the day, the Egyptian Armed Forces announced that their elements found some parts of EgyptAir plane that vanished off radar at dawn Thursday with 66 persons; 30 Egyptians, 15 French and 10 of other nationalities, on board. 

In a statement, the Armed Forces said that personal belongings of passengers and parts of the plane's wreckage had been found some 290 kilometers north of Alexandria city.
