Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa will pay an official visit to Sudan in May at an invitation from his Sudanese counterpart.
During the visit, Gomaa will confer with his Sudanese opposite number and officials in the Sudanese government on means to boost cooperation between Egypt and Sudan.
The visit will also take up presenting a moderate Arab religious speech to spread the values of tolerance and understanding away from extremism.
Gomaa will deliver Friday speech during his visit to Sudan to review the Islamic visions on the different current issues.
Meanwhile, Gomaa announced that the ministry agreed on the participation of a Sudanese delegation in the activities of the international Quran competition organized by it on Saturday with the participation of 100 contestants from 63 states in addition to a nine-member jury from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Morocco, Senegal, Sudan and Mauritania.
