Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa called on Friday to urgently enlist the so-called dissolved Azhar scholars bloc as terrorist entity.

In a press release, he urged to consider all its posts on its website as electronic terrorist crimes because of its violations against religion and the country.

He also called for taking immediate and strict actions against the bloc's members as well as members of International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS).

Meanwhile, the ministry warned all members of the bloc from using mosques for political purposes.

Earlier, the bloc called for holding a protest on August 14.
