Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa

Egypt's Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa has warned against the use of political slogans during the Hajj rituals.

The Egyptian Hajj mission in coordination with the Saudi authorities will take a decisive action against any abuse, Gomaa said in press statements on Monday.

He added that all Hajj mission officials coordinate to provide best services for the Egyptian pilgrims in the holy lands.

The minster, who chairs the official Hajj mission, said that the mission agreed with the Saudi authorities to transport the Egyptian pilgrims from Mecca to Medina after the Greater Bairam (Eidul Adha) on Sunday instead of Monday.

He added that the Saudi authorities will allow two Egyptian pilgrims, who were injured in the Holy mosque's crane collapse and are not able to complete rituals this year, to perform Hajj in 2016.

Saudi Arabia allowed Egypt to send a large number of preachers during the Hajj season, something that did not happen with any of the Islamic countries, the minister said.

The minister added that he personally follows up the conditions of Egyptian pilgrims.

All the mission's staff are working hard to provide the best services for Egyptian pilgrims, Gomaa said, warning that negligent officials would be punished.
