Azhar scholars on Wednesday asserted, at a meeting with a delegation of Canterbury bishops, that Al Azhar's approach is not to declare anybody as infidel.

The remark was made at the 12th session of dialogue between both sides.

The scholars further explained that this is why they can not declare Daesh terrorist group as an infidel group.

The scholars also added that mistreating Muslims in Western countries fuels extremist thought.

For their part, the bishops delegation asserted that Britain deals with all firmness with all crimes of hatred against Muslims.
