Al Azhar condemned the terror blast that targeted a police force outside the High Court of Justice in downtown Cairo on Monday.
Islam and its tolerant teachings have nothing to do with the bloody attack, the highest Sunni seat said in a statement.
It urged security bodies to track down the attackers and bring them to justice.
