Al Azhar has condemned the terror attack that targeted a police patrol in North Sinai's main city of Arish and left two policemen dead and three injured.
In a statement Thursday, Azhar said such malicious acts would not discourage army and police from assuming their role in combating terrorism.
The top Sunni institution in the world expressed condolences to the families of the slain people and wished speedy recovery for the injured.
