Azhar Imam Ahmed el Tayeb on Friday phoned Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah to greet him on the occasion of Eidul Fitr (Lesser Bairam).

The imam highlighted to the Kuwaiti leader the important role of Azhar, Sunni Islam's most respected seat of learning, in spreading the moderate Islamic teachings.
