Al Azhar Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Tayyeb met on Monday Kuwaiti Zakat House chief Mohamed al Oteiby.

In a statement following the meeting, Tayyeb hailed firm and distinguished ties between Cairo and Kuwait.

He hailed humanitarian stances of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah in support of the friendly Arab countries.

He also praised the important role of the Zakat House of Kuwait.

Oteiby, for his part, lauded Al Azhar's moderate approach of Islam.
