Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb met on Sunday with Sudanese Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) Mohamed Yaqouty and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Yaqouty reiterated the depth of scientific, cultural and religious ties between Egypt and Sudan.
He also revealed full coordination with al Azhar to face the extremist thoughts threatening the whole world.
Tayyeb, meanwhile, hailed cooperation with Sudan in all fields.
"Azhar is keen to support our Sudanese brothers in all educational and Islamic affairs," Tayyeb said.
He added that Azhar is fully ready to provide training courses for the Sudanese preachers.
