Grand Imam of Al Azhar Ahmed Tayyeb is scheduled to pay a visit to Kuwait City this week, a statement by Al Azhar reported Saturday.

The grand imam will take part in the celebrations of Kuwait city as the Capital of Islamic Culture 2016.

Tayyeb will meet with Kuwaiti Emir Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, his crown prince and senior officials.
