Al-Azhar has paid tribute to Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz who passed away early on Friday, said a statement on Friday.
Al-Azhar has praised stances adopted by late King Abdullah towards Arab and Islamic nations.
Azhar, the most prominent Sunni seat worldwide, has offered condolences to Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz and to the Saudi people over the death king Abdullah.
