Grand Imam of Al Azhar Ahmed Tayyeb met on Sunday with Sharjah Ruler Sultan ben Mohamed Qasami, currently on a visit to Cairo.

Talks tackled boosting cooperation between Egypt and the UAE in all domains, especially religious one.

Sheikh Tayyeb updated Sharjah ruler on the role played by Al Azhar to stand against extremist ideas and convey the true image of Islam.
