Calls to raise copies of the Holy Quran during pro-Muslim Brotherhood protests planned on November 28 are meant to revive sedition, Al-Azhar has said.
In a statement, Al-Azhar warned that bringing copies of the Holy Quran to the protests is an act of “religion abuse” and a way to deceive Muslims under the guise of Sharia and religion.
