Azhar's Islamic Research Academy on Friday greeted the Egyptians on the advent of the New Year.

In a statement, head of the academy Muhyiddin Afifi called on the Egyptian people to spare no effort to help the country to confront current challenges.

All Egyptians should realize the blessings of security and stability, and to secure the country through hard work, cooperation and social solidarity, the statement added.

Afifi urged the Egyptian youth to exploit their energies in building the country and make more efforts to accelerate the development process in all areas.
