Bahrain Ambassador to Cairo and Permanent Representative to the Arab league Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa attended the Christians' celebration of the New Year at Saint Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral, in the presence of Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi
The ambassador conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of Saint Mark, stressing deep-rooted historic relations between Bahrain and Egypt and the friendship bonding the Kingdom and the Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in a spirit of tolerance, fraternity and unity between Muslims and Christians.
