The Kingdom of Bahrain has strongly condemned the heinous assault carried out by the terrorist group Al Shabaab on Garissa University in Kenya on Thursday 2 April 2015, which claimed the lives of dozens of innocent people and wounded several others.
"This cowardly terrorist act goes against the teachings and principles of Islam and other divine religions, and is an attack against humanity", Bahrain's Foreign Ministry said in a statement carried by Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
The statement urged the international community to take decisive and urgent action to put an end to the criminal operations carried out by the various terrorist groups in the world for the aim of destabilizing the security and stability in all countries of the world.
The Ministry extended sincere condolences of Bahrain to the families of the victims and to the leadership and people of the Republic of Kenya and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The Ministry also reiterated the Kingdom of Bahrain's firm stance in rejecting terrorism in all its forms and manifestation and backing all efforts to rid the world of these dangerous groups.
