Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa today attended the opening of the International Defence Expo and Conference (IDEX2015) in Abu Dhabi.
He was received on arrival by UAE Culture, Youth and Community Development Minister Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan and other senior officials. He expressed his delight at attending the inauguration of IDEX2015, which showcases cutting edge defence, border, maritime and aviation security technologies.
"IDEX2015 represents a pivotal and attractive destination for defence purchases in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region as well as the Indian Subcontinent", he said, describing the event as a key platform to showcase latest defence, security, training, logistic, medical and rescue equipment, in addition to land, naval, air and radar systems. Field Marshal Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa returned this evening to Bahrain after attending IDEX2015 opening.
