Chief of Staff, Lt-Gen Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa, today attended the 10th Manama Dialogue Forum, being organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) on 5 -7 December 2014.
Issues related to regional security, including the strategic priorities in the Middle East, Syria, Iraq and regional security, countering extremism in the Middle East, and collective approach to current security issues were discussed in today's session.
Chief of Staff hailed the participation of ministers, military officials, academics and security experts of various countries of the world. He lauded the discussion papers and speeches of participants that dealt with a number of security issues concerning peace and security in the region.
