Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla said the election of First Deputy Speaker Ali Al Aradi on the International Parliamentary Union (IPU)'s Human Rights Committee in Vietnam, is a new achievement for Bahrain.
The election affirms the prestigious status of Bahrain and its Council of Representatives under the democratic reforms led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, he said.
The Speaker congratulated Al Aradi on the international position, praising the efforts of the parliamentary delegation at the IPU meetings in Hanoi.
