His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has received a written message from the Qatari Amir HH Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, inviting him to attend the 35th Summit of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), set to be held in Doha in December, 2014.
HM the King was handed over the letter by the Qatari Minister of State Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser Al Thani, whom he received at Al-Sakhir Palace today.
Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser Al Thani conveyed greetings from the Qatari Amir to HM King Hamad, and wishes of abundant good health and happiness to HM, and of further progress and prosperity to the Bahraini people.
HM the King expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Qatari Amir for his kind invitation, voicing hope that the GCC Summit will consolidate cooperation and solidarity among GCC states, enhance joint GCC action and achieve the aspirations of the GCC citizens for more progress and welfare.
HM King Hamad lauded the landmark achievements of the previous GCC Summits, noting that they have strengthened complementarity among GCC states at various levels and served their peoples.
HM the King asked Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser Al Thani to convey his greetings to the Qatari Amir, and wishes of continuous good health and happiness to him, and of further prosperity to the brotherly Qatari people.
