His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today patronised the graduation of the 10th batch of cadet officers – Ahmed Al-Fateh Brigade– at the Isa Royal Military College, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa.
His Majesty was welcomed on arrival by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, National Guard Commander Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al-Khalifa, BDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa, Minister of Defence Affairs Major General Yousef bin Ahmed Al Jalahma, the Isa Royal Military College Commandant and senior officers.
Addressing the event, HM King Hamad lauded the distinguished participation of officers from brotherly countries in the session, paying them tribute for the joint efforts in maintaining regional security and stability.
"You form a joint force to preserve the dignity of your homelands at this agitated time," His Majesty told the graduates, describing their military work as a national duty and a great honour. He called on them to show a great commitment to achieve forecast goals, thanking the teachers and trainers for their efforts and dedication.
"We are sure you will put all your capabilities to serve your countries, defend their achievements and preserve their fundamentals, inspired by our tolerant faith and authentic Arab values," he said.
Then, the Isa Royal Military College Commandant Brigadier Isa Jassim Omar Al-Aliwi welcomed HM the King, paying tribute to him for patronising the graduation ceremony which coincided with the Kingdom's celebrations of its National Days on December 16 and 17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 43rd Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 15th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa’s accession to the throne.
Following a briefing on the session by Lieutenant Colonel Salah Nasser Fahd Al-Zabi, HM King Hamad honoured the top achievers. The new graduates were handed the college's banner and took the oath. HM King Hamad was presented with a commemorative gift by the Isa Royal Military College Commandant.
The BDF Commander-in-Chief attended today an honouring ceremony at the Isa Royal Military College during which he presented the 10th batch of cadet officers – Ahmed Al-Fateh company with their diplomas in military sciences.
The celebration concluded with a collective photo of the graduates and the guidance panel with the BDF Commander-in-Chief.
Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa paid tribute to His Majesty the King for his unflinching support to BDF personnel, praising the graduates' high morale and professional level.
