HM the King's Personal Representative, HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today attended the celebration held by Ministry of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning marking Bahrain's celebrations of its National Days on December 16 and 17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 43rd Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 15th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Accession to the Throne.
Minister of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning, Eng. Issam bin Abdulla Khalaf, in his speech, extended heartfelt congratulations to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, wishing them many happy occasions to come and the Kingdom of Bahrain further security, stability and development. He also appreciated HM the King's Representative for patronizing the event.
The minister highlighted achievements made by the wise leadership in terms of human, urban and economic development and Bahrain's wide strides taken toward international competiveness.
He said that the celebration interpret the people's solidarity with the leadership and renewing pledge of allegiance and loyalty to the homeland and its wise leadership and moving forward in the march of progress and development.
He thanked all ministries and government institutions contributed to the success of this event.
At the end of the celebration ceremony, HM the King's Representative was presented with a commemorative gift.
