Under the patronage of HM the King’s Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry will hold a rally at Al-Fateh Corniche in the Capital Governorate.
The event, held as part of Bahrain's celebrations of its National Days on December 16 and 17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 during the era of its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 43rd Anniversary of joining the UN as a full member and the 15th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Accession to the Throne, will take place on December 11.
The inister, Dr. Jumaa bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi, inspected the site of the festival, along with the Director-General of the Manama Municipality and Chairman of High Organising Committee of the event Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. He said that the event will feature aquatic shows using water screens and laser, as well as fireworks.
The shows will also include an operetta documenting the kingdom’s development over history, and the renaissance march it has witnessed during HM King Hamad’s prosperous era, he said.
He added that the festival will also include poems expressing loyalty to the nation and allegiance to the leadership, as well as shows by Bahraini folk bands and market for traditional products.
The Minister explained that the Ministry will hold similar festivities across the kingdom, in cooperation with municipal councils for the aim of consolidating loyalty to the homeland, and cementing national unity and cohesion.
