A batch of 222 brides and groom have today tied the knot as part of the 27th mass wedding, being sponsored by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Charity Foundation. Parliament Chairman Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani patronised the ceremony at Shikhan bin Ahmed Al-Farsi in Riffa.
The mass wedding was held under the auspices of UAE Deputy Premier, Presidency Affairs Minister, Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Charity Foundation Chairman, Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
The ceremony was also attended by UAE Embassy Charge d' Affaires Ahmed A-Mazroue and Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charity Foundation director-general Mohammed Al-Khouri. Mr. Al-Dhahrani paid tribute to the Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Charity Foundation for sponsoring the mass wedding for the fourth time, which epitomizes strong bilateral relations bonding Bahrain and the UAE.
