Meeting

Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and an accompanying delegation arrived here on Sunday on a short brotherly visit during which he will meet with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah
On arrival, the Bahraini premier was received by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah
Several Sheikhs, ministers, army and police commanders and senior officials also received the Bahraini remier.
Prince Khalifa said in a statement he will convey to His Highness the Amir greetings from Bahrain's King, government and people to him and the Kuwaiti people, as well as sincere wishes for more progress and prosperity for the country.
He added he will stress during the meeting the deep-rooted bilateral ties.
He will also discuss means to enhance coordination to preserve the march of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), its unity and strength and interests of its peoples. He emphasized political, economic and security conditions sweeping the region, which prompt collective action to maintain the interests of the GCC states.
The visiting premier referred to the Riyadh supplementary agreement, concluded in November thanks to the wisdom and experience of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, and the praiseworthy moves by His Highness the Amir.
The Riyadh agreement was aspired by all to push ahead the GCC joint action and march, he said. He expressed belief that the member states will abide by it, especially on the media level to thwart potential attempts targeting the "historic agreement." The GCC lies amid a restive region, whose escalating changes and developments are obvious, he said, adding that upholding collective interests above personal ones is a must to avert negative impacts.
