Jordanian Interior Minister Hussain Haza’a Al Majali underscored strong fraternal relations between Bahrain and Jordan thanks to the leaderships’ keenness to foster them continually.
He pointed out solid bilateral ties based on complementarity and partnership between both countries. Speaking in an interview with Al-Amn magazine, which is issued by the Interior Ministry’s Security Media Directorate, on the sidelines of his visit to Bahrain, he said fanaticism begets blind extremism which in itself leads to terrorism that threatens societies and shakes up their stability.
He added combating extremism and terrorism is a collective work that starts from inside and a responsibility that has to be shouldered by everybody. "Unity is the secret of success in deterring foreign threats," he asserted.
He also underlined continuous cooperation between Bahrain and Jordan in the security field amid regional developments. He said the latest security developments made Jordan and the Gulf one entity as they are facing a common threat.
He paid tribute to the Bahraini security officers for their high professionalism and utmost self-restraint. He also underlined the need for concerted efforts to fight blind fanaticism which leads to terrorism, describing it as a major threat to the whole world.
